Pooch & Mutt: Move Easy dog treats

Noodles loves the new treats. They are a nice size for her (just over 1cm long). Only a faint scent nothing over powering. Very excited waggle when you open the packet. 2 for £4 at Pets at Home if you want to try. They seem to be a nice consistency, crunchie but not too hard. There are about 150 per tube. Has ingredients that promote good healthy joints - not something I can tell day to day but hopefully it will be a good start for Noodles when she gets older.

Natures Menu: Country Hunter Venison and Blueberry

Was told by Lily's Kitchen they were re-formulating their Venison and Wild Rabbit Terrine can food. So went to local Waitrose to try to pick up the last of the old stock. Unfortunately there wasnt any left. But they did have Natures Menu Country Hunter in Venison and Blueberry on introductory price of £1.50 for 400g (usually 600g when sold direct at Natures Menu RRP £2.29). 

Noodles loved the stuff. Hoovered it down. It smelt like lovely spam as well. So definitely a keeper. If anyone looking to try another wet food for dogs with high Venison meat content Waitrose should still have the deal instore.

Discover Dogs: Lily's Kitchen Vension and Wild Rabbit Terrine

Loving is an understatement. This flavour of wet food by Lily's Kitchen is definitely a keeper. Noodles hoover this one up super quick! Smells tasty even to the human. 😊 RRP £2.49 400g

Discover Dog: Pooch & Mutt Calm and Relaxed review

Noodles just tried the sample pack of Calm and Relaxed from Pooch and Mutt. It went down a treat. She was very excited about it. The size is definitely good for training (about 5mm by 5mm). 

Definitely buy it in the future cause Noodles was really licking her lips for this one. Size is great as training treats too. . RRP £13.99 for 2kg.

John Lewis Price Match and Free Gift in store

Went to look for presents today at John Lewis and decided to get the Lancome Hypnose Drama mascara gift set (RRP £22.50 but price match 15% off) then the lady said if I get two items then I get a free gift set. So I got the Hypnose Star gift set as well. All together £38 for the below. Not bad if you like using the items or want to get some nice pressies for makeup junkies. 😁

DIORSKIN Nude Concealer 001 Ivory and 002 Beige Review

I have very dry skin so finding a good concealer is about coverage as much as it is about moisturising.

Adding to the problem is the right shade that doesn't make my skin look either dead or I've been tango'd compared to my neck.
I decided to try DIORSKIN Nude concealer in 002 Beige during the summer when my skin had a light tan and I didn't seem to match my usual MAC NC20 but NW25 I brught recently was too dark (the MAC girl suggested NW25 after I told her I usually use NC20 but had recently got a tan).

DIORSKIN Nude Concealer in 001 Ivory and 002 Beige, 10mL RRP £22

It was definitely a more pricey purchase than normal. But I brought it from Feelunique.com whilst they had a deal on £10 off £30 so it made it more bearable. Having tried it I have to say it's definitely worth the money. This concealer has good coverage and is a good consistency for people with dry skin and it blends in very well giving a nice finish (not oily at all, some what dewy but matt).

You don't have to use a lot either so a little goes a very long way. 

There is currently 5 shades. After losing my tan I needed something a little bit lighter but unfortunately the next shade down 001 Ivory is a little bit too light. But when I mix the two shade together it is perfect match for me.

Photo without filter, wearing the 002 Beige in August in the sun. No foundation, just concealer to cover dark eye bags and redness around nose and chin.

Will definitely be a fixture in my makeup bag. Bit pricey, but definitely worth it and actually works out quite well (002 Beige brought in July still has a lot left to go).

Lily's Kitchen: Wild Campfire Stew Review

Just tried another of Lily's Kitchen's Wet food on Noodles. Wild Campfire Stew. Made of Venison, Pheasants and Salmon. Click HERE if you want more ingredient information.

This one has a rich meaty smell (spam like with a bit of game smell - only slight fish smell, not intrusive) so pleasant for the human too.

Noodles LOVED this too! She was chasing after me as soon as the tin was open and she went looking for the tin in the recycling after she had her share. Definitely will be buying this one again.

Lily's Kitchen: Organic Chicken Supper Review

Noodles tried her first wet food from Lily's Kitchen (one of the three we got at Discover Dogs).

For a medium dog apparently she should be getting 2-3 tins a day. But we give wet food to her in addition to dry food so 1/2 to 1 tin a day for her.

150g RRP £1.29 a tin.

Noodles LOVED this! She was licking her lips for more. And it smelled very nice for the human (like nice spam). Definitely a keeper and the size of the tin is perfect. I can split it in half for two days without having too much left over like some other brands. For more ingredient information click HERE.

So far it seems Noodles either really likes or doesn't like Lily's Kitchen stuff - all case by case, no link so far between the ones she likes and doesn't like (not flavour, meat type, or food type). So if any one is looking to try out Lily's Kitchen I would say get one of each of the different things you want to try in the smaller sizes and try it out to find out which you little fluffies prefer. 

Lily's Kitchen Rise & Shines Treats Review

Bought this to try on Noodles in her restock purchase of the Woodland Walk. Same with the Breakfast crunch Noodles didn't take to it straight away. She need a bit of convincing that it was edible. She does seem to like it but not the wow effect of the Woodland Walk by Lily's Kitchen.

They are a nice size for medium size dog like Noodles and they aren't overly hard - crunchy but can be broken up by hand if you wanted to make them into smaller treats.

May buy again but not as mouth watering for Noodles as I had hoped. Shame cause they had some nice ingredients in them.

Homemade Doggie Beef Meatloaf with Cheddar and Spinach Recipe

Tried making homemade meatloaf for Noodles and it went down a treat with her and Kenzo. Very simple recipe.

500g lean beef mince mix with 1.5 cups of oats and 3 eggs. Split into two layers in a loaf tin and put slices spinach and cubes of cheddar inbetween. Bake for 40mins at 180C.

Tada! Not bad for a first try. =D

Noodles Haul from Discover Dog 2014 Part 4: Pet Treats Wholesale Review

These have got to be the best buy from the show and Noodles favourites - Gourmet Sausages.
I've brought from them online before but nothing beats getting them at shows with their show offers.

They sell lots of meaty treats for the Doggies but these are the best I reckon. At the show you can get 30 sausages for £4.95. I got a mix of the three flavours:

• Lightest Brown: Chicken
• Medium Brown: Garlic and Beef
• Darkest Brown: Liver

These are a top favourite with all of Noodles' Doggie pals. You can cut them up for training or you can buy their training strips. It works out cheaper than the sausages you get from the standard pet shops. Even if you buy from them online you can get a good deal of 3kg of sausages for £16.95+ delivery (I email the owners to request for a mix of all three flavours in the 3kg and they are more than happy to help). They store very well so you can either share with other doggie pals or just store them away and slowly give them to your little one.

Noodles Haul from Discover Dog 2014 Part 3: Platinum Natural Pet Food Review

Noodles doesn't usually take food from strangers or from bowls or from the floor without my ok, especially if there are lots of strangers about. But the Platinum brand had a dry food so yummy even the Noodles had to stop and woof down some chow from their tester bowl. ^_^

This brand has three flavours of dry food:

• Chicken (Puppy and Adult)
• Lamb & Rice
• Iberico (Pork) & Greens

Noodles only liked their Lamb and Rice flavour. This is apparently 70% lamb meat and made in such a way it feels semi-moist which seems to be a plus for Noodles. The pellets are square and similar size to the Lily's Kitchen Woodland Walk. It smells meaty but not over powering for the Human. Noodles seemed to be fine after eating it without the usual gentle easing in for change of food so far.

If you want further information click HERE. This brand is quite handy as you can order online for delivery (FREE in most cases). They also gave Noodles a sample of their treat sticks - she gobbled them so quickly I don't have a picture of them.

The brand may seem expensive at first glance. But if you bulk buy the price does slash quite dramatically. But as I have experienced with Noodles she only likes of of the three flavours (no interest in the other two) so if you want to try before you buy I believe the brand is still doing samples via their website.  My mum went for the 5kg Lamb and Rice RRP £24.94, which the stall helpers says can store for over 6 months if sealed properly as you would with other dry food.

Noodles Haul from Discover Dog 2014 Part 2: Daisys Dog Deli Review

Noodles homed into this stall on the day (she is very picky with food so you know there is something yummy there!)

This stall smelt lush! You would have thought it was a normal human bakery! There was so much to choose from Noodles was definitely in a doggy equivalent of a candy store. ^_^

We went for the Lazy Day Loaf in the end (£2.50 for a slice at the show, £9.99 + delivery on their website for a loaf). This is made from Beef, Cheddar and Spinach. It smelt so yummy even I got hungry! Noodles couldn't get enough of it. They have a store in Bluewater if anyone in the South East goes shopping during Xmas and want to pick something up.

Noodles Haul from Discover Dog 2014 Part 1: Lily's Kitchen Review

Went to Discover Dog Show at Earls Court at the weekend. This show happens every year in London in October/November. It's a great place to meet all the different breeds of dogs if you're thinking of getting a dog and if you have a doggy pal it's a great place to go to to pick up a deal on new stuff you want to buy for them.

I've tried other items in the Lily's Kitchen range with Noodles before but she wasn't interested. But having read reviews of other items in their range I decided to give them a try since there was a show deal on the day.

Show deal £10 for all these! (1kg Woodland Walk RRP £6.99,  400g Wild Campfire Stew RRP £2.19, 60g Breakfast Crunch RRP £1.59, 400g Venison & Wild Rabbit Terrine RRP £2.19, 150g Organic Chicken Supper RRP £1.29)

Noodles LOVES the Woodland Walk dry food. She cleans the bowl and can't wait for this stuff! It is made of Venison, Duck and Salmon (further ingredient information click here). The pellets are crunchy but not ultra dry (may be why Noodles prefers this over the other two dry food offered by Lily's Kitchen.) The size of the pellet is also slightly bigger than the average dry dog food but doesn't seem to bother Noodles - she is a 20kg medium size dog though. It also doesn't have an over powering smell of dog food so the average doggy parent so be ok with it.

Noodles didn't take to the Breakfast Crunch immediately like the Woodland Walk but after I reassured her that it wasn't from outer space she also took to it, her tail wagging whenever I have the bag out. This is made from Chicken & Turkey (click HERE for ingredient information. It is slightly crunchier and drier than the Woodland Walk pellets but Noodles seems to still like crunching these, again it also smells pleasant and herby. Not sure I will be giving it to Noodles for breakfast but definitely a nice treat for her.

Haven't tried the three wet foods yet but will update when we get round to them.

Noodles definitely gives Woodland Walk and Breakfast Crunch the paws up.  Most importantly so far so good her number twos have stayed in good condition and no stomach upsets from starting the new food.
